As an author, the struggle always comes when it is time to sell your books especially when you don’t have a large platform.
Here are 5 streams of income you can generate from a published book
1. Become a Speaker- You might contemplate whether you are cut out for this or how will you get speaking engagements but once you make the decision that is what you will do, things will automatically start aligning themselves. Becoming a speaker will be just one way you can sell your book, by selling them at your speaking engagements you then have the opportunity to enlighten your audience about your book and encourage them to buy it.
2. Launch a Course- You can launch a course, for example, an e-course or even record videos with the content from your book and sell these courses to your target audience.
3. Have a coaching program– Whether you decide to do a group coaching program or a one and one session, you can implement a coaching program where you help individuals, (do whatever your book is about). With a coaching program, you can achieve two goals; you educate the persons who have decided to come to you and you also push the sale of your book as the individuals or the group will use your book as a reference during their session.
4. Have a mentorship group– You can use your book to get persons into mentorship program whether it be 3 months or more. You can in every month and teach a certain topic or have Facebook groups where you can support each other on topics found in your book.
5. Merchandise-You can take quotes from your book to launch a T-Shirt line or write a journal, print quotes on mugs or bottles to sell. So anywhere you go to sell your books you can sell these merchandise in order to make additional income and leave a reminder in the customers/readers mind.
